Standard RT System


Roasters equipped with Standard RT include 6in. touch screen controls, PLC, RTD bean and environment probes, fire prevention and fire suppression system, auto-maintenance logging, batch number generator, digital control valve, gas pressure gauge, and networked PC based, real-time profile data-logger.
  • Digital Bean and Roasting Environment Temperature displays - allows operator to see both bean and roasting environment temperature simultaneously for a better understanding of the relationship between these two temperatures.
  • Digital Timer - gives an accurate time indication from start of roast cycle.
  • Alarm Temperature Adjustment - allows operator to set and reset alarm temperature for different levels of roasting.
  • Fire Prevention Automatic Control - automatically moistens chaff pile throughout roast cycle to prevent chaff fires.
  • Fire Suppression Manual Control - allows operator to engage fire prevention system without auto-shutoffs. Used when stack or chaff fires are known to be present.
  • 3.5 Inch Mono-Color Touch Screen Controls - This touch screen controller gives operator a more readable display than standard PID controllers. Includes different color multiple screens for easier operation.
  • Burner Set Point Control - allows operator to set a temperature at which the burner will automatically turn off.
  • Flame Intensity Dial Control - allows operator to control gas pressure through a digital proportional modulating valve by turning a control mounted gnarled knob.
  • Electronic Flame Control Valve - gives operator control over the full range of gas flow; monitored by gas gauge controlled by dial control.
  • Gas Pressure Gauge - allows operator to accurately gauge gas flow to the burner through a control panel mounted gas pressure gauge.
  • Real Time Data-Logging - PC software logs both bean and environment temperature profile paths; also includes burner setting prompts, notes section and profile input allowing operators to draw and follow pre-existing profiles.
  • Maintenance Reminders - batch generated maintenance prompts help ensure safe and efficient operation of roasting equipment. Factory pre-set or operator set.
  • Profile Curve Generation - allows operators to input time and temperature points into a PC and draws a time and temperature profile based upon inputted points.
  • Roast Calculator Software - variability cost accounting and pricing software for the coffee roasting environment. This software can help determine energy, labor, packaging, green, shipping and total cost to produce for coffee roasting.
